Statewide, there have been 19,430 tests with 1,581 (or 12%) positive cases and 18 deaths.

These new cases are not the reason to “now take it seriously”. We have been taking this situation very seriously for many weeks, not the least of which ways are having school out of session for the past two and a half weeks and the majority of businesses changing their procedures to lessen human interaction. They have also increased their disinfecting practices.

As for our Marshall Parks system, as of tomorrow and until further notice, our Park will be open however, all playgrounds, basketball courts, and tennis courts will be closed. You will see signs in other areas restricting usage. Please follow the rules!

Keep following the Center for Disease Control’s guidelines:
—Wash your hands, don’t touch your face; clean your home and work surfaces.
—Stay home if you’re sick; stay away from the elderly and those most vulnerable.
—Go out when necessary.
—No social gatherings over ten people and keep your social distance.

The message isn’t changing...FOLLOW THE GUIDELINES. Follow them because your health, the health of your family and friends, and the health of our community matters!

Lastly, please say a prayer for those who are sick so they may heal quickly.
